The Cloud is your company’s storage space in the platform: everything you export lands here, organized by Area and date, ready to download — and it’s also the launchpad for the analytics covered later in this category (histograms, clusterization, scatterplots and stochastic models).
Open it with the cloud icon in the navbar. The icon is disabled until you have at least one Area (“Upload an area to get access to Cloud”), and it carries a badge counting your freshly completed exports — opening the window clears it. While exports run, a progress ring at the left of the navbar tracks them task by task.
The storage meter #
The top of the window shows Storage — used / total for your company, with a bar that turns yellow past 60% and red past 80% of your limit. What counts toward it — and why deletions take until the next day to show — is covered in Storage Limits & Export Caps.
Two tabs #
- Exports — everything you exported from your analyses.
- Uploads — the private imagery in your company’s space (see below).
Browsing your files #
The Exports tab drills down three levels: Folders (one per Area — yours, the ones shared with you, plus a Drawn Areas folder for unsaved AOIs) → Dates → Files. A breadcrumb takes you back up, and each level has its own search; the folders view adds an Owner filter (All / Mine / Shared), with teammates’ folders showing their avatar.
The date level groups files by when you exported them — not by the acquisition date of the imagery. Two scenes from different months exported on the same afternoon sit under the same date folder; the same scene exported twice appears under two dates. The imagery’s own acquisition date lives in the file’s name and metadata.
File rows show the name, date, type, instrument, format and size. When a file has processed outputs derived from it — a clusterized version, vectors, previews — a small badge shows “+ N additional processed files”: they travel with their source.
Downloading and deleting #
- Select any files, folders or dates and hit Download. A dialog lets you pick exactly which files. The download links are temporary (about 5 minutes), but they start the download automatically the moment they’re generated — you don’t have to click anything, and if a link expires before you need it again, just request it once more.
- Downloading is completely free — it never consumes credits or any kind of usage. Download the same files as many times as you like, on as many computers or devices as you need.
- Delete is owner-only: “Only the area owner can delete files.” Teammates can browse and download what’s shared with them, but never remove it.
- Rows from Drawn Areas (never saved as an Area) can only be downloaded — every map-based action needs a saved boundary.
The Uploads tab #
The Uploads tab is the storage side of your private imagery — the high-resolution scenes your company has uploaded, ordered from the marketplace, or received from the three public agency sources with their own workflow (PRISMA, Hyperion and EnMAP). Even though those three are public instruments, their delivered images live in your company’s space and count toward your storage just like uploads, so they’re managed here: browse them by Area and instrument, see how much space they take, and delete the ones you no longer need — the same owner-only rule applies.
The analytics launchpad #
This is what makes the Cloud far more than a file browser. Every exported file is a starting point for analysis you can run inside the platform, without downloading anything or opening a single other tool — from a quick distribution check to a full geostatistical simulation. It’s the shortcut from “I have a result” to “I understand it”: build a histogram to find a threshold, cluster an index into mappable units, correlate two insights pixel-by-pixel, or run a stochastic exploration model — all on the cloud-stored files, all in seconds to minutes.
- Visualize on Map (▶) — put an exported GeoTIFF back on the Globe.

Each icon tells you when it can’t run — file type, area size or a missing requirement — right in its tooltip. The next docs in this category walk each one from the basics upward.
