Remote Miner is a single screen: a 3D map (the Globe) that never goes away, a workflow rail on the left that drives your analyses, a navbar on top for everything account- and output-related, and floating windows for detailed work. This page tells you where everything lives.
β The Globe #
The map is your permanent workspace β every Visual renders here.
- Search any location by name with the search box, or navigate freely.
- Map controls: zoom, scale, fullscreen, map style switcher and tilt β plus three output buttons that act on what’s currently displayed:
β the printer icon captures a screenshot of all your active insights;
β the export button sends the active insights to your Cloud;
β for PCA insights with the report open, the PCA matrix report button generates the component report (early access). - When a Visual is active you also get: the legend/color bar for the active layer, a coordinates readout, and the layers manager to reorder or toggle what’s displayed.
- Pixel values β activate the pixel-value control on the map first, then click anywhere on the layer to read the values at that point.
- Right-click anywhere on the imagery to see the full spectrum of that point for the active instrument β all its band values in a row.
β‘ The workflow rail (left) #
The rail is the heart of the new interface β analyses are built here, step by step.
- New visual (play button) β starts the guided analysis: Area β Instrument β Insights β Filter Imagery β Visualize. See Your First Visual in Three Minutes.
- Areas β your saved areas of interest: create, edit, share, delete.
- Instruments β the imagery sources available to you.
- Insights β your insight catalog (public + your own).
- Stacks β your insight bundles.
- Masks β your pixel filters.
- Trained AI Models β your machine-learning models and their training history.
- Workflows β your saved analyses, ready to re-run.
Clicking a rail icon opens its panel; the breadcrumb at the top (Workspace βΊ Visuals) shows where you are. The panel collapses to keep the map clear.
β’ The navbar (top) #
Left to right:
- Progress ring β appears while exports or model trainings are running.
- Cloud β your storage and exports. The badge counts completed exports waiting for you.
- Spectral Signatures β the spectral library (upload, manage, compare spectra).
- Warning icon β appears only when something went wrong; click for the error messages.
- High Resolution β order commercial imagery or upload your own (availability depends on your plan).
- Usage β your company’s platform usage at a glance; trial accounts see a progress bar with the percentage consumed.
- Library β the reference catalog of all insights and instruments, with detailed descriptions.
- Settings β global display settings: resampling, color palettes, measurement units, active masks and masking mode.
- Your avatar β opens the profile drawer: My Account, Y-Stats (your usage statistics) and Releases (what’s new).
β£ Floating windows #
Detailed work β building an insight, managing orders, browsing the Cloud β happens in floating windows you can move, maximize and close. Two things worth knowing:
- The book icon in a window’s title bar opens the manual page for exactly that window.
- Windows don’t block the map: you can keep exploring the Globe while a window is open.
Best practices #
- Keep the rail collapsed while reviewing results β the map is the product.
- If you lose a result, check Workflows (saved analyses) and the Cloud (exports) before re-running: re-running consumes credits.
- Learn the Settings panel early: palette and stretching defaults affect every Visual you render.
