The Order Creation window enables you to request high-resolution imagery tailored specifically to your analytical requirements. This interface is structured into several sections, each guiding you step-by-step through the order creation process.
Area of Interest (AOI) #
First, select the area you wish to analyze:
- Area of Interest: Choose your AOI from the provided list. Each area includes geographic boundaries and its size in km².
Product Type and Resolution #
Next, specify the imagery product type and resolution that match your analysis needs:
- Product Type: Select from:
- Multispectral: For standard optical imagery.
- Radar (SAR): For Synthetic Aperture Radar imagery.
- Hyperspectral: For advanced spectral analysis.
- Resolution: Select the preferred spatial resolution range (e.g., “30 cm ≤ 50 cm”). Available resolutions vary based on the selected product type.
Order Mode and Dates #
Specify the type of order and desired date range:
- Order Mode:
- Tasking: Request new captures of your AOI.
- Archive: Access historical imagery from existing archives.
- Yearly: Continuous annual coverage (daily imagery access).
- Start Date:
- For Tasking and Yearly: Select the initial capture date.
- For Archive: Choose the historical date range (limited to imagery already available).
Imagery Quantity and Recurrence #
Configure how many images you require and the frequency of recurrence (only applicable for Tasking):
- How Many Images? Select the number of images required (from 1 up to 12).
- Recurrence Frequency (for more than one image):
- Monthly
- Quarterly
- Semi-Annual
- Annual
Note: If you select only one image, no recurrence will apply.
Available Instruments and Pricing #
Based on your selected criteria, the platform provides available instruments:
- Instrument Selection:
- Each instrument displays its name, available spectral bands, spatial resolution, and the cost per image.
- Click on an instrument to select it.
- Priority Tasking (optional): Certain instruments offer priority tasking at an additional cost.
- Select the priority checkbox to increase capture priority, clearly indicated by the added percentage cost.
- Enabling priority also allows you to select a specific capture date once the provider releases the acquisition forecast for the selected AOI.
Order Summary and Currency Conversion #
The order summary clearly outlines your selections:
- Area Name & Size
- Order Mode & Date Period
- Product Type & Resolution
- Number of Images & Recurrence
- Total Cost (in Euros and converted to selected currency)
You can view the approximate converted cost by selecting your preferred currency from the dropdown (e.g., USD, AUD, CAD, INR, CLP).
Note: Currency conversions are estimates only and may fluctuate slightly.
Agreement to Terms #
Before finalizing your order:
- Confirm that you have read and agree with the EULA (End User License Agreement) and TERMS by clicking the provided links, which open detailed agreements explaining your rights and usage limitations.
Important notes:
- Imagery capture areas are always rectangular. A precise adjusted coverage area will be provided prior to capture if your AOI does not perfectly match instrument constraints.
- The price displayed is approximate; the final price may vary slightly. Creating an order does not constitute a contractual obligation. Your order will only be processed after payment of the final invoice, sent to your registered email.
Creating Your Order #
After verifying your selections and agreeing to the terms:
- Click the Create Order button.
- You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours containing the invoice and all relevant details required to complete the payment process.
- This email will include:
- The final price (in case of any slight adjustments),
- The estimated number of captures required,
- Any necessary changes to the selected AOI or imaging parameters,
- And the available payment options.
Note: Processing of your order will only begin once the invoice is paid in full.
Best Practices #
- Clearly define and select your AOI for accurate imagery coverage.
- Match product type and resolution to your analytical objectives for optimal results.
- Carefully review available instruments and their associated conditions.
- Use priority tasking selectively, balancing urgency against budget considerations.
- Always verify the final order details, including cost estimates and terms, before submission.
This structured approach ensures clarity and efficiency, making the order creation process seamless and straightforward.
