The Downloads window allows you to download insights from the platform to Y-Cloud. You can access this feature through three different methods, each tailored to specific contexts and purposes:
How to Access the Downloads Component #
- From the Map Viewer:
- Click the white download button located in the top-right corner of the map, just to the left of the location search bar.
- The Downloads window will open for the insights that are currently visible on your map.
- From the Product List:
- To download several items from the product list, select them by checking the boxes.
- Click the download button at the bottom of the product list.
- The Downloads window will open displaying the selected insights from your search results.
- It is possible to download a single product by clicking on the downloads icon from a result.
- From Blocks (Workspace):
- Click the download button located to the left of the Play button in the blocks section, accessible after performing a search and viewing results.
- The Downloads window will open showing insights specifically included within the active block for the selected date, independent from the map view or search results.
Using the Downloads Component #
Once the Downloads window opens, a list of insights available for download is displayed, each accompanied by detailed information:
- Name of insight
- Acquisition Date
- Territory (Area of Interest)
- Instrument Used
- Resolution
- Color Mode: Grayscale or Composite (note that some indices, like true-color composites, can only be downloaded in composite mode).
Global Settings #
At the bottom of the window, global adjustment options allow you to:
- Email: Set a global pixel resolution for all indices.
- Resolution: Set a global pixel resolution for all indices.
- Color Mode: Apply a global color setting (Grayscale or Composite) across all indices.
Sending Email Notifications #
If you select the “Send email” option, an email notification will be sent to the email address associated with your user account once all downloads have been completed. This allows you to be promptly informed when your requested downloads are ready. It is very usefull for larege batch of downloads.
Including Metadata #
Optionally include a .txt
metadata file with your downloads, containing:
- Legend and visualization range information.
- Color palette details.
- Specific band information and calculation methods.
- Comprehensive metadata including acquisition details, spatial coverage, and data-specific statistics.
End User License Agreement (EULA) #
If downloading high-resolution images purchased via our platform, you will see an EULA notification specifying the conditions and compliance details depending on the provider.
Ensure compliance with the EULA when downloading and using the data.
Best Practices #
- Maintain compliance with the EULA to avoid any usage restrictions or violations.
- Regularly verify and confirm download settings before initiating downloads.
- Always include metadata files for comprehensive data documentation.
